Pedestrians rarely walk away from accidents without a scrape on them. These accidents can be life-altering with injuries that follow them for weeks, months, and even years. Luckily, these vulnerable parties have legal options when it comes to financial support. Some of the best options that pedestrians have is filing an insurance claim or a personal injury lawsuit.

Through a claim or lawsuit, you may be able to receive some of the following damages:

  • Medical expenses you have incurred or expect to incur in the future
  • Lost wages and future lost income due to missed time at work
  • Pain and suffering damages
  • Therapy costs

You may have limited time to file a lawsuit under California’s statute of limitations. In fact, in regards to personal injury claims, you only have two years to file before you are unable to do so. This is why it is crucial that you act quickly and speak with an attorney that you can trust regarding your case and any deadlines you have to meet.
