Man Injured in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident at Shaw and Peach Avenues in Clovis

On Wednesday night, a bicycle accident involving a hit-and-run driver took place at an intersection in Clovis. According to information provided by Your Central Valley, the accident happened around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Shaw Avenue and Peach Avenue on May 15, 2024.

When Clovis Police arrived on scene, they found that a driver struck a bicyclist at a gas station located near the intersection. Due to the force of the collision, the cyclist was thrown onto the ground. The driver in the black vehicle then fled the scene of the accident without checking on the cyclist.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The adult male bicyclist was rushed to the hospital for treatment of injuries but is expected to be okay. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.

Police allegedly did not find the driver of the black vehicle as of yet. They are wanted for felony hit-and-run.

No further details have been provided but police continue their investigation into the collision at this time.
