Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident at Butler and Sierra Vista Avenues in Fresno

Fresno Police Department officials responded to the scene. Upon their arrival, they discovered that a woman in her 30s or 40s was walking on the side of the road at the intersection when she was suddenly struck by the driver of a passenger vehicle. The driver of the car remained on scene after the accident.

Several local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead on scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was hurt as a result.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the accident.
